Victron VE Transfer switch 10KVA/230V – automatic transfer switch between two AC sources

The Victron VE Transfer Switch 10 kVA is an automatic transfer switch with two AC inputs and one output. The loads are supplied from input 1 (e.g. shore power or a generator), and if this supply fails or goes outside the voltage or frequency limits, the switch automatically changes over to input 2 – typically an inverter. During the switchover itself, the power is briefly interrupted, so sensitive electronics such as computers may lose data.

Benefits

  • Automatic switching: Switches between the two sources without manual operation.
  • Delayed switch-back: Once input 1 has been stable for approx. 10 seconds (adjustable), it switches back – this protects your equipment during short voltage dips.
  • 40 A per input: Rated current of 40 A on both inputs and the output, and motor loads (e.g. air conditioning) of up to 8 kW.
  • Auxiliary contact: Together with a MultiPlus and a Digital Multi Control, it can automatically switch the current limit to a preset generator value.
