Before you buy

8 things to check before you buy a lithium battery

Lithium batteries look alike in pictures and tables. The difference lies in what you can't see. Here are the questions you should ask – wherever you buy.

  • Danish company in Ringsted
  • Every battery tested
  • Can be repaired in Denmark
  1. Who makes the cells?

The cells are the most important part of the battery and determine how long it lasts. If it just says "Grade A", you don't know who made them.

    At LithiumPro

EVE Grade A cells. EVE has tested the LF105/LF230 cells to 4,000 cycles and the MB31 cells to 8,000 (to 80% and 70% remaining capacity).

  2. Is the battery tested before you get it?

A fault should be found by the seller – not in the motorhome or out on the water.

    At LithiumPro

Every battery is capacity-tested in Denmark before it is shipped.

  3. Where does the battery go if there's a fault?

A warranty is only worth something if it's easy to use. Ask who you need to contact and where the battery has to be sent.

    At LithiumPro

The warranty is handled in Denmark by Lithium-Pro ApS in Ringsted.

  4. Can the battery be repaired?

If the cells are welded together, a single fault can mean the whole battery has to be replaced.

    At LithiumPro

The connections are bolted – not welded. The battery can be inspected and repaired in Denmark.

    Bolted vs. welded
  5. How long is the warranty – and what does it cover?

Check both how many years it runs and what the warranty covers.

    At LithiumPro

5-year warranty on LithiumPro batteries (3 years on 50–60 Ah). Can be extended to a total of 10 years.

  6. Can the battery deliver the current you need?

Ah tells you how much charge the battery holds. The BMS determines how many amps the battery can deliver – important for inverters and motors.

    At LithiumPro

The discharge current is listed for every battery – e.g. 150 A continuous on our 12V 100Ah.

  7. Can you reach a real person?

Questions often come up when the battery is being installed – not when you buy it.

    At LithiumPro

Call or write on WhatsApp. Danish support and sales 24/7 – also after your purchase.

  8. Do you get the paperwork?

With the datasheet and guide, you can install the battery correctly – and you have them if a question comes up.

    At LithiumPro

Datasheet and user and safety guide for every model.
