Victron SmartSolar MPPT 250/85-Tr VE.Can

Description

Victron SmartSolar MPPT 250/85-Tr VE.Can – MPPT solar charge controller for efficient solar charging

The Victron SmartSolar MPPT 250/85-Tr VE.Can is an MPPT solar charge controller from Victron Energy for 12/24/48V automatic selection, 36V: manual select battery banks. It regulates the performance of solar panels, handles a PV open circuit voltage of up to 250 V absolute maximum coldest conditions / 245 V start-up and operating maximum, and built-in Bluetooth allows you to monitor operation and change settings directly from the VictronConnect app.

Advantages

  • Built-in Bluetooth: Setup, monitoring, and firmware updates are done wirelessly in the VictronConnect app — without an additional display.
  • Up to 99% efficiency: The MPPT tracking continuously adjusts the operating point so that the panels perform optimally under changing light conditions.
  • Automatic voltage selection: The controller automatically detects whether the battery bank is 12/24/48V automatic selection, 36V: manual select.
  • Multiple charging algorithms and custom profile: Adjustable absorption and float voltages to suit lead-acid, AGM, gel, and lithium batteries.
  • Up to 250 V absolute maximum coldest conditions / 245 V start-up and operating maximum PV open circuit voltage: Provides the freedom to connect multiple panels in series and run longer cables.
  • Encapsulated electronics (IP43 (electronics), IP22 (connection area)): Can be mounted in technical rooms, boats, motorhomes, and caravans.

Application

  • Motorhome, caravan, and van with solar panels on the roof.
  • Boat where the service battery needs to be kept fully charged throughout the season.
  • Summer house, allotment garden, and mobile home without a fixed mains connection.
